Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good warm waterproof jacket. This is a great jacket if you plan to be riding in cold wet conditions. I have been wearing it for a month now in spring conditions and have yet to be cold. Also got stuck in a downpour with an hour ride home, no issues and my upper half was dry. The workman ship of this jacket is excellent, the zippers are very sturdy and the pocket placement makes it very user friendly even with your gloves on. I am 6'3 with long arms I purchased an xl and the fit is perfect even on my arms. It would be tight with a sweater underneath but the jacket is so warm i have yet to need one. Being a ride out jacket the armour lighter then a traditional Alpinestar jacket, if your looking for lots of protection i would also order the back armour. The hood can be a pain i have yet to figure out how to fold it up so its out of the way, it always seems to be flapping in the wind but it is manageable. The collar is nice is cold conditions when done all the way up, but I have a hard time getting it not to pull on my neck. The jacket also puffs up from the wind while riding but these are all little things. Its a great jacket I defanitly recommend purchasing it and it looks great. Also if you need a spring wind breaker you just zip the armour out and away you go!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great addition to your jacket repertoire Picked this up in a desperate attempt to extend my central Alberta riding season and even though I haven't had a chance to use it (its very much winter now) just trying it on gives me absolute confidence that it will help. Typical Alpinestars quality throughout with smartly placed pockets, protection and subtle design are highlights. I would, however, pay extra for the jacket to just come equipped with the available back protection right off the back. I'll be springing for it separately now. Fit is on the small side, I would never buy an XL jacket for regular use but this XL fit me perfectly. The only reason I got this right the first time is having tried on an Alpinestars track jacket before and remembering that it was a 44 that fit the best. FortNine's sizing chart worked its magic from there.
