Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well fits well I purchsed these boots for my ride across canada. I wore them everyday on a ride from Anchorage to Halifax in several different weather climates and road surfaces. They were a comfortable fit straight out of the box and didn't need to be broken in. They did relax a bit and became like a pair of shoes with constant wear over the summer. I can say that they were completely waterproof, I tested them in freezing glacial meltwater to make sure. They can be warm in really hot weather but hey they are a black boot. The soles gripped in pavement and loose gravel was no real problem either. I think they are a great value for you buck

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for rain! Got these boots because of the sweet price point. Extremely satisfied for the price. Great in the rain and also a good interface with my bike's foot controls. The material is nice looking and surely less damageable than leather. They are very comfortable and light, and not too hot. Thought I'd only wear them on cold or rainy days: nope, they're on my feet almost all the time when I ride. They also seem to get nice comments. Also worth mentioning; I bought a size too big. Tried them inside, and sent them back with no issues from Canada's Motorcycle; the original pair was credited within a few days.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not waterproof after 1 year I bought these boots a year ago, and they seemed very comfortable straight away - still are. Quite comfortable to walk in and feel good on the bike. They were waterproof in the early days, but unfortunately have started to leak where the boot touches the gear change lever. I have only used them for commuting, about 60km per day, and they still look in as new condition. It doesn't rain here much, so it's not a big thing, but I will be looking for some new boots before next winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly comfortable This is my second review of these boots. I've worn them for about 2000km of riding and I can't get over how comfortable they are, I almost forget I have them on during long rides on my ST1300. The synthetic leather doesn't break in like genuine leather but it is flexible and light and water seems to shed off it rather than soak into it. Haven't ridden in torential rain yet but there is a water resistant liner that stops at the mid boot and that should handle the weather quite nicely. I followed the Alpinestars size chart and I think the sizing is just a little on the large side. Using a size 10 Nike as a comparison, a size 43 seems just a little bigger. My boots fit great and allow for a thick sock in case of cold weather. One great feature is how much grip the soles provide. My bike is heavy and I can back it up on an incline without any problem. The soles stick like glue to the pavement. There is no zipper closure, only velcro, so don't be surprised when you pull them out of the box. They look great and my pants fit over the boots easily. These are great boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great in the rain Now that I've used these in a few rain storms, I can say they are definitely waterproof.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good boots for cold weather i'm glad with these, they dont feel to hot and seem to breath correctly, surely not the kind of boot you want to wear on hot weather but where i leave, they're perfect to begin the season. they fit great too, but have not tested them on rainy day yet

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, comfortable I use these boots every day for the ride to work and find them really comfortable and warm. They come up high enough on the calf that you're really quite comfortable in the rain - your knees might get wet (jeans), but your feet will be toasty and dry. Comfortable to walk in as well, although I switch out to dress shoes at the office. They would be too warm for extended indoor use anyway. Sizing worked well. I take a 9.5-10 North American sizing, and the 44 fit perfectly right out of the box. Great pair of boots.

How is the width of these boots? I wear a mans 8EE or XW and need to know if they'll fit. Thanks!
