Very impressed!
The boots fit and feel great, for size comparison I wear a 9.5 in a DC skate shoe and the Alpinestars size 9 was perfect. So much more protection than my previous more expensive boots. Very comfortable inside yet the outside is noticeably rigid and strong.

Great Protection
I was wearing these when I got into an accident and suffered no injuries to my ankles or feet. Comfortable and breathable as well as easy to walk on flat ground with.

Excellent Boot
These boots are a great choice. Lightweight but very sturdy as well as being super comfortable. You really forget that you’re wearing boots especially when walking. I would definitely recommend these boots.

Expensive but look good
Great except they were too big. I'm usually between a 7 and 7.5. After reading the reviews about them fitting big I decided to go with size 7, but even the 7 was too big and had too much space in the toe. I sent it back in hopes of ordering a 6.5, but unfortunately they were out of stock.

Good summer boot for *taller* sport bikers
These Rideknits are niche boots, and they are really good at their niche. They are definitely meant for hot weather street riding for taller sport bikers on non-heavy bikes. I say these qualifiers deliberately because A) the outsoles are thin, and you will lose a good 2cm of standover height compared to other boots (no bueno for shorter riders); B) the ankle protection is minimal, and I suspect any tipped bike over 450lbs will do a number on your fibula and tibia bones in these: C) wear longer pants with these, too, as the back of the boot is low cut and will show the back of your socks. All in all, I really do like these airy boots for what they are. They are breezy, lightweight, and feel like expensive boxer or weightlifting shoes. They are so comfortable, I wear them around the house, wrenching my bike in the garage, and I'll even take the dogs on short walks around the block. Because they have minimal ankle protection, I would not recommend these as a first pair of kicks for riders. But as a second or third pair of boots specific for hot days, the ventilation and comfort are first-rate.

Good balance between shoe and riding boot
I was somewhat surprised that there wasn't more support armor on the ankle area. Other than that, the base/sole is very solid as well as the toe and heel. The shoes definitely aren't the greatest for walking in as something from the toe area slightly digs into the upper big toe joint when the shoe bends. However, considering this is a hybrid motorcycle boot/shoe, I believe the walking comfort is an expected trade off for the protection. Overall the shoes fit great (and to size) and are very well put together. Great for the riders who want some extra protection but a more casual look and feel while riding. Five stars.

Questions
Do these stretch out at all width wise?
I would have to agree with you on that one LeeH
Date de publication: 2021-12-22
How would these hold up in caught in the rain? Would the mesh let so much water through that it permanently damages the shoes?
These might let some water in, as they are not waterproof. It should not damage the shoe to the point of it being rendered permanently damaged though.

Do these boots tend to run small or are they true to size? I'm a size 7.5 to 8 usually in shoes and boots. Should I then size up just in case?
They fit true to size. We recommend selecting your normal shoe size.

I have Faster 2 shoes now... My only current issue with the Faster 2 shoes is the rubber sole wears quickly when touching down at stop lights and are very slippery on pavement. Have they improved the texture/grip/wear rating of the rubber sole on these?
No, the soles have not been upgraded, the main difference is that the Faster 3 are CE rated.

Normally wear a skater type shoe for width, would these fit on a wider foot?
I found that they have a fit closer to a running shoe. They are a tighter fit than a skater shoe in my experience.
