Description
The Detecto 7000 RS1 is a lighter weight option in the ABUS family of alarm brake disc locks. Using the same cutting edge 3D Motion sensing technology used in the beefier Granit Detecto X-Plus 8077, this lock features many of the same high-tech design features in a lighter, sportier lock body. The Detecto 7000 RS1 features high tech 3D alarm sensor technology in a sporty, and easy one-handed operation.

- The bolt, lock body as well as supporting elements of the locking mechanism are made of special hardened steel
- Alarm function on basis of the ABUS 3D detection system meaning that every movement is detected
- Alarm of at least 110 dB
- Lock can be transported in locked condition without activated detection system thanks to a manual activation button, integrated into the Snap 'n Go mechanism
- Multi color LED and different acoustic signals inform about battery, activation and alarm status

Perfect sensitivity
Great lock. The alarm will trip if the bike is moved or nudged, but doesn't get set off by the wind when my bike cover is on. It's loud enough that I'd hear if someone is messing with my bike at night, but not loud enough to be painful when I accidentally set it off while trying to unlock it.
It should be coupled with other locks if you really want to prevent your bike from disappearing overnight, but plays a big part in making sure thieves move on to an easier bike to steal.

Basic Deterrence
I use it on the front wheel as a deterrent when I leave the bike unattended for a short period of time ie: going to the theater or shopping. The flashing light is a good visual warning and it is loud. It will go off as soon as it moves but is not tripped by traffic vibrations. For overnight parking during rides, I combine it with a Granit Victory X-Plus 68 Chain Lock on the back wheel.

Solid Unit
Easy to install and provides a great feeling of security once it's on. Instructions are Ikea-style and don't really indicate that you need to arm it by squeezing a convex dome against your brake rotor. But once that's figured out , it's good to go.

Not very happy with it
I bought this on the recommendation of a Fortnine rep for my Harley Sportster. It barely goes over the disc and it's hard to not scratch the brake on or off. The alarm also isn't very loud.

Puts My Mind At Ease...
Well designed... works well... puts my mind at ease when bike is parked. Alarm could be a tad louder... adequate enough though. Alarm sensitivity is perfect. No false alarms in the two months that I have had the disc lock/alarm.

Great lock.

Works as advertised, respectable lock brand.
Bought this several months back as I live in a questionable neighborhood. This thing can take a beating... I've dropped it a few times and broken the plastic cover off. The lock works great and is easy to attach to the bike.
The alarm isn't very loud but loud enough to be a deterrent I suppose. The batteries also don't last very long but at easily replaceable with standard alkaline batteries!
