Locking made easy: The ABUS Element 285 Brake Disc Lock combines safety and comfort in the simplest possible way. The integrated push-down cylinder ensures that the 5mm specially hardened steel bolt automatically locks into place when closed. This means your scooter is secured in just one movement.
ABUS has also designed this brake disc lock with user-friendliness in mind. The memory cable included will remind you if your scooter is still secured with the Element 285 before you pull away. And if you ever lose the key to your Element 285, don’t worry: A second key is included with the lock.

Easy to put on and remove. Added some length to the 'Reminder Cord' so it would reach handlebars from the back tire.

Serrure difficile
Prix bas mais qualité moyenne. J’ai eu plusieurs fois de la difficulté à entrer la clé dans la serrure et retirer le cadenas; ça me prenait un bon cinq minutes de jurons avant de le décrocher... Par crainte de rester pris tout seul dans le stationnement à mon travail le soir, j’ai cessé de l’utiliser et acheté un autre.

Bloque disque de qualité en relation avec le prix de l'article.
Certainement dissuasif mais probablement pas hyper efficace si quelqu'un a vraiment envie de votre moto.

Great little deterent
I stick this under my seat or under my pocket. I know it could be cut with tools but it stops any convience thieves at least. Feels more sturdy than the last one i had which was no name and very light steel

Gets the job done
Simple, no surprise disc lock. Works totally fine but as advertised by Abus, probably not the most secure one. If you have an expensive liter bike or something, go for a better one, otherwise this one should provide enough peace of mind.

Does what it is supposed to do
Does its job. It is light and small enough to fit in a jacket pocket when I don't feel like opening the pillion seat. Still it is just large enough to act as a visual deterrent.
The "memory cable" is rather flimsy compared to the competition and can be overlooked but that seems to be the only downside.
