Serious Lock
When shopping for a new motorcycle disk lock I wanted a quality lock that would last for years, I looked at the xena lock with the alarm but people expressed frustration that the alarm was too sensitive, and they ended up disabling the alarm and just using it as a standard lock. I looked at the Kryptonite Mini NY U lock, but wasn't confident in the security of the lock, that it could not to be picked.
My decision was this Abus Granit 77, it really is a solid chunk of metal, and serious quality. I've worked for a lock company and I will tell you any locksmith will tell you they just aren't pickable.
*Make sure to measure your disk, you have exactly 45mm between the edge of the disk and the inside of the pin, it won't fit your disk if you need more room than that.

happy with it
Happy with the product and craftsmanship so far. The safety cord is too short, how come, Abus?

Lock is perfect, but reminder cable is short.
I was looking for a high quality disc lock and found it. Solid piece of metal, high quality locking mechanism. I have no doubts that the disc lock will keep my motorcycle secure.
As others have mentioned, the reminder cable is too short. Look at how stretched out it is in the photo I took. If you're going to order this lock, I recommend also buying the OnGuard reminder cable for $5.31. Then you'll have a solid disc lock with a proper reminder cable, and be good to go!

Bullet Proof - but check your measurements!
The Abus Granit - as others have noted - is one of the best of it's kind. - but information on fitment details would be a big improvement.
On my 2007 Moto Guzzi Griso with Brembo 320mm discs at the front - the clearance for the lock around the disc was fine at 30mm, and not close to the clearance limit. [Which is only found if you read the various tech forums).
However - it was when I tried to close the lock and lock it in place - I found I had to really work at positions to find one that let the back edge of the lock end up nestled very tightly against the lip on the wheel rim.
This was the only position I found that had the lock near enough perpendicular to the disc, to allow the lock to close and lock - and get the key out.
If you don't get the proper angle - you can't close the lock.
It works - but I had to play with position a good minute to find the right angle to let the key actually lock the thing with the disc trapped as required - and then be able to remove the key.
The handle-bar cable tether - as noted elsewhere - could be longer. On my bike - the coils were stretched to the point the cable would not come close to returning to the tight coils it has when it comes with out of the box. It did connect the lock and slip over my handle bar end.

Vraiment robuste

Questions
Will this fit on a Kawasaki Vulcan S 650?
Yes, I have the same motorcycle and it fits fine. Get the Onguard reminder cable with it, the Abus supplied one is too short.
