Very Finicky
Bought this for my DR650 after I changed the gastank to an Acerbis 20L. This cap would rarely thread on the plastic tank properly and would constantly try to crossthread. If I pushed down hard on the cap as I put it on, sometimes it would thread properly. The second issue I had with it was proper venting of the tank. I carefully followed the instructions on the Procycle site to poke a hole in the rubber diaphragm to allow for tank venting. I was out riding on a hot day and after sitting in the parking lot for a while, the bike would not start.
I realized the cap was not allowing air into the tank to equalize the pressure and was causing a vacuum in the tank starving the carb of fuel.
I put the original non-locking cap back on and the issue disappeared.
