Nice skid plate, trash hardware
This is a solid skid plate, and I like the design. However, Acerbis clearly has some quality control issues. First, it did not come with the correct washers for the rear mounting bolts, so I had to go out and buy those separately. Not that big of a deal. Second, the welds on the front mounting bolts are below amateurish. It took me over an hour to file the weld out of the threads, and in the end I am pretty sure I stripped one of the bolts. Moreover, the front bolts are way too long and from what I can tell could be driven into the engine casing if the plate gives way. I don't want to say don't buy this because, who knows, maybe you will win the lottery and get mounting hardware that works. I did not.

Strong & sturdy - does the job
Solid piece of kit - strong, sturdy and light. I ride mostly logging roads and easy single track through the woods. Easy install - took 5 mins. Compatible with my Honda CRF300L 2023.

Great for peace of mind.
I was able to put this skid plate to use recently.
Rode about 50 km of FSR's with lots of loose gravel and stones.
During this ride, I heard plenty of rocks that were kicked up and deflecting off of the skid-plate. It gave me some great peace of mind knowing my DR650's engine was getting protected from those small but multiple impacts.
Installation was super quick and easy too!

Keep you engine safe!
I have installed this on my bike last week and i really like! It its lightweight ,durable and has 1 bolt even a monkey could install. My enduro needed this. kinda looks good too and easy to remove for cleaning.

Installed on my factory lowered DR to protect underside. Decided on plastic skid plate as being a mechanic I have seen many plastic ones on 4x4's take a beating and remain structually intact. Acerbis name trustworthey

what is this made out of like whats the material
Acerbis Off-Road Skid Plates are molded out of polypropylene. Less expensive than many other aluminum or carbon fiber units, and also quieter.
