Description
The AGV AX-9 Helmet is an all-new design over the popular AX-8 DS EVO Helmet. It starts with the lightweight carbon, aramid and fiberglass shell and a redesigned peak for optimal aerodynamics. The peak itself is adjustable to reduce the sail effect at high speeds. Superior ventilation is achieved with 5 total vents: an adjustable chin-vent, two brow inlets and 2 extractors. The design of this helmet also allows for four different configurations -- peak / visor, no peak / visor, peak / goggles, no peak / goggles -- meaning it can handle practically any riding scenario.
On the inside, the helmet has a fit to allow for comfort while wearing glasses and the padding is treated for optimal comfort. The cheek pads and top liner are moisture wicking and the neckroll is water resistant to prevent water from getting inside the helmet.

good quality helmet
I have had this helmet now for a year, and overall I can recommend it. Good ventilation and 3 helmet sizes mean you can get a much better fit. Helmet is reasonably quiet on the highway, but I wear earplugs regardless. Only issue I have found is at highway speed the visor catches the wind a lot which can be tiring, especially in crosswinds

Good fit and aero!
I was surprised at the lack of buffetting given the size of deflector. Fit is great but a little less room in the chin area than my old Shoei.

Good helmet
I was looking for a very light helmet. Something that would also offer sun protection and has a level of air filtering capability. This helmet meets this criteria. Will have to buy separately a smaller peak and a smoked visor however.
I was trying size MS first but had to exchange it for ML. If you are in similar situation you want to take shell size into consideration as it might be difficult to take if off if your shell is too small.
I just bought it on a different site, as FortNine does not have it yet. Wanted to provide this review in order to share hopefully useful information with others as I often buy from this site and find reviews very helpful in my decisions. Will provide update once I have a chance to use on a bike.

Very comfortable
This helmet is very comfortable and runs true to size. I bought a bell moto 3 in the past in large and had to return it because it was too tight. Bought this ax9 in medium/large and fits perfectly... go figure. Would have given it 5 stars but I’m a little disappointed that the peak has to come off if you’re going to be riding over 100kph, and it’s not exactly cheap either. Otherwise it’s great.

Great value when on sale.....
Great quality build, fits as advertised. It's a 5 star helmet at the price I paid, but given the original price it just didn't "blow me away". Works perfectly with my smaller dual sport and my sport touring bike, did get some unusual "buzzing" from the visor on a larger ADV bike I rented so may be an issue depending on what bike you're riding.

Well made, quality, not good with eyeglasses
I usually wear a size large helmet, I ordered the XL of this model. I found the fit to be very tight and I was completely unable to wear eyeglasses with it. The chin bar is very tight to my chin. Unfortunately it wasn’t useable for me and I had to return it unused. Just giving a heads up on fit and glasses. It’s a beautiful helmet, very well made.

Great Helmet
Fits like a glove! No buffeting and super light. A real pleasure to wear all day. Priced lower than something this good has a right to do.

Does the AGV Ax-9 come with the Pinlock lens insert? In the description it says "Pinlock-ready".
Yes it does Matt. It comes with the Clear PINLOCK 70. Fog Resistant Lens.
