Am I old or is this valve now hard to turn.
New rear diagram parts mated properly and sealed against fuel flow as designed. Like another review 2 screws to long.... so what. Re-used original.
However the boo-hoo kitty was now approaching. The front o-ring that seals the front rotating lever/knob visibly looked thicker than OEM in the package. This is gonna be close I said. After applying vaseline, wheel bearing grease and KY from the bedroom drawer, I still had difficulty installing the front lever/knob. Even wearing my patience hat, I succeeded in shearing off some rubber off the o-ring during install.
It doesn't leak but turning valve from normal to reverse is tough.

Used on my KLR650 2018. Easy enough to install. I suggest using fogging oil to help lubricate the main gasket and the valve gasket. I appreciate that the kit comes with replacement fasteners. Only down side is the valve is hard to actuate now, and I need pliers to move it. Hopefully time will break it in. Overall if I were to need rebuild again I'd like to try another option in hopes the valve won't be as hard to actuate.

Didn’t work for me.
Put this in last fall and the o-ring was a tad too big but I got it in.
However it was crazy hard to turn but was usable.
By this spring I had to use pliers to turn the valve and the vacuum pull off won’t.
I need to switch it to prime to run the bike.
Going to try the K&S Fuel Petcock Repair Kit - 55-2005 next.

Did Not Work For Me
While rebuilding my petcock I noticed the 2 small screws supplied were too long and I needed to reuse my old ones. No big deal there but I also found the valve was very hard to turn. Again, no big deal as I shouldn't need to turn it often if the vacuum valve was working. The problem is it wasn't. I could still blow through the petcock fairly easily without applying vacuum. I could get it to seal if I pressed directly on the diaphragm but not with the housing and spring installed. Since I couldn't trust it I switched to a manual one.
