Great product
I purchased this for my Yamaha bolt to replace the factory bearing. I was getting a “death wobble” and since installing these I haven’t had an issue. Like with any bearing make sure you have the proper tools to make installation easier!

Fixed the Yamaha bolt death wobble
Yamaha bolt owners know about the "death wobble" our bikes sadly are plagued with (as with many other bikes im sure). Concensus says it's due to the steering stem bearings being ball bearings vs tapered. Well, i got these swapped in and the wobble is gone. Got a shop to change them and they agreed the stock bearings were terrible.

Very good at higher than legal speeds
These took the "whip" out of the bike when I abused it at high speed

Changes the distance from the top and bottom yolk
I installed this on a '75 CB400F. The top bearing is wider than stock and as a result changes the distance between the top and bottom yolks. Now the headlight bracket does not fit properly.

Fixed my problem
I bought this a while back after I had a nasty lowside. After the crash my steering started to wobble at speeds of 70-80km. Read a lot online about how changing the stock head bearings for tapered ones from All Balls fixed that problem for nearly everybody that has done the swap, so I did just that. It did take me a very long while to actually do it. It was no easy task to get the old bearing out and these ones in, but I got it done. After that, no more wobbles. The bearings did an amazing job.

Questions
Does an alls balls sticker come with these?
Yes, typically All Balls sends out stickers with these types of products.

Does the bottom bearing need to be pressed on the shaft of the triple tree just like a regular tapered bearing would?
That’s correct, it needs to be pressed on.

Can you please give me the measurements of 22-1004 the outside diameter preferably
Do the existing bearing races get discarded for this kit?
Hi,
Yes, you have to get the old races out. Can be difficult. You might need to grind a notch in a piece of rod to get a good shot at them. There are also special pullers to do the job. When I took mine apart I found that all I really need to do was clean the old hardened grease off, and then they felt fine. So the all balls kit is still on my shelf.
Good luck either way,
Ron

Is that a complete set with front and rear wheel ?
Hi,
No, these are not wheel bearings, they are steering head bearings.
