Hit some concrete
Bought this for those really hot days or easy going rides, and I'm glad I did. Side swipped a bnunch of concrete barriers and eventually got ejected at around 50-60km/h. Chest hit the corner of one, and this thing saved my life probably. Only chest injury was a fractured sternum, if I was wearing a jacket then my side and arm would have less injuries but chest might have ruptured.

Light Low Profile Roost Guard
I'm 6'0 215lbs. with 44" chest and hockey player build. Ordered XL/2XL according to size chart. Back fits perfect about 2" above waist. Back plate is 16" long and rigid. Chest covers most of ribs except lower outside. Arm movement is limited due to top chest plate being a little bit too wide. Pinches in armpit upper bicep. With my arms held out in riding position shoulder width apart armpit crease to crease is 11" and upper chest plate is 10" so not quite enough room to cross arms. Sizing should be adjusted for this. If your measurement is 12" plus get the XL/2XL.
