Quality protection
I purchased this jacket to allow me to wear it under my motorcycle jacket as well as other clothing I have in the summer when It may be more uncomfortable for my jacket. I feel very secure within this gear. It fits very well on my frame. I purchased a Extra Large. I am 5'11" 185lbs with a muscular/athletic build. I have no complaints early on in it's usage. It does keep your warm. I've only used in in the fall so far between temps of 19-13 degrees. It's not difficult to put on. It is another item on top of everything else you may wear. But PPE is important to me and I feel this was the right move.

Does the job well
no major crash test but it's comfortable, can be taken on or off easily, and protects well on small rolls.
Shipping was extremely fast, came box packaged and with appropriately sized hanger too which was cool.

Questions
Are the shoulder & elbow just CE level 1?
Would this top offer some slide protection as well, like if I were to throw on a casual sweater that would shred immediately would I still be fine with just this?
No, this item is not designed with abrasion resistance in mind, but rather impact protection. The panels themselves will have some slide protection because of the material but the rest of the armour is lightweight material with no abrasion resistance.
