Alpinestars CR-X Drystar Riding Shoes Item # 725193

Description
A protective riding shoe with unrivalled off-the-bike, all-day walking comfort. The CR-X boasts a running shoe last which provides a 'snug' fit coupled with 'ample inner shoe volume' to ensure good all-day foot comfort, while the Drystar® waterproof and breathable membrane guarantees effective all-weather performance.
Features:
- Drystar® membrane offers effective weather protection in wet conditions.
- The sole unit 'DROP' (or, the off-set between heel and toe) is set at 9 mm (many running shoes have a 9 mm drop) to ensure a smooth heel-to-toe transition when walking.
- Features an EVA midsole provides for excellent all-day underfoot comfort.
- Forefoot Flex grooves are engineered into the midsole for enhanced forefoot comfort (the grooves promote flexing in the forefoot area).
- Full-length TPU CE-certified inner sole plate for superior riding protection and a dynamic heel-to-toe transition when walking.
- Asymmetric outsole stud configuration provides excellent levels of grip and abrasion resistance.
- Oil resistant dual rubber compound provides optimized grip on unclean/slippery surfaces.
- Removable Ortholite insock provides long lasting comfort and prevents over heating thanks to the Open Cell PU compound.
- Hidden asymmetric lateral and medial TPU ankle discs for effective but discreet ankle protection.
- Lightweight inner bootie with minimal construction design for a comfortable, glove-like fit.
- Tongue with bellows construction has been designed to remain in position when riding for a snug, secure fit.
- Gear shift zone features a highly abrasive-resistant TPU layer for enhanced durability.
- Internal EVA layer sandwiched between outer and inner materials reduces pressure on the foot in the gear shift area, thus ensuring superior rider comfort.
- CE EN13634:2017.

Nice but cannot find replacement laces
I’ve had these boots for two months and one of the laces broke. I cannot get replacement laces anywhere even from Alpinestar themselves. The lace hole are very unique in design which cannot accommodate a conventional lace. Looks like a wire type of lace might work but I’m still searching. Until I find a replacement these boots are pretty much rendered useless.

Perfect fit
I never buy shoes online due to a broken foot years ago and these shoes fit perfectly according to the size chart.
They are light and feel good while riding and I’m a daily rider when not raining in Toronto.
I really like the laces to be honest I know it’s laces but if you get them you will know what I mean.
Only thing I don’t like is when you walk one shoe buckles on the front foot area like a rubber boot.

First Motorcycle Shoe!
This is the first pair of riding shoes I have owned. They look amazing!
I have a wider foot and they tend to fit fairly narrow. They seem to keep me dry while commuting, but riding forest roads, mud was coming in through the top. The little velcro clasp could be bigger. I have worn through the shift area a fair amount in about a season of riding. All around good shoe/boot for city adventures. Anything more rugged, go taller.

Flimsy
For over $300, these things sure feel cheap. I commute to work and need a short boot, rather than a full racing boot. The last boots I had were TCX and I loved them. These feel cheap and unsafe. They seem more focused on comfort & style. You may as well just wear an average hiking boot - heck they're probably more sturdy than these things. NOT worth the money. I'm pretty disappointed to be honest.

Very comfortable.
I wear a size 9.5, so the size 10 fits perfect.
Very comfortable, with a nice positive feel for shifting.
The speed laces are great, but are long, still easy enough to tuck then under the Velcro at the top.

Comfortable suite à quelques sorties, comme toute bonne bottes de moto. Très résistant à la pluie et au froid. Pas de vent froid à 5-6 degrés.
