Comfortable and reassuring
My Alpinestar pants came with good knee armor but the hip foam was thin and soft, and I couldn't imagine it providing much protection. I was slightly worried that these replacements would be bulky, but they blend in and I don't even notice they are there. I'm much happier to have some proper protection, and they are very comfortable.

Very comfortable
I bought these to add to my riding jeans that didn’t have hip armour included. I wear them with the jeans and they are comfortable, if forget they are even there. They are slender enough to slide in with out to much extra bulk.

Perfect upgrade
I bought these to add to the foam hip pads in my Olympia Airglide pants. I installed them using the supplied covers and they fit perfectly into the Olympia hip pockets. They feel comfortable and not bulky.

Definitely a step up in protection compared to the foam pads that came with my pants. They felt a little clunky when I first tried them on, but I don’t even notice them when I’m on my bike.

It works!
I installed these easily in my (other brand) pants just before a long ride, during which I came off the bike hard. I'm convinced these saved my hip from anything more than a slight bruise.
