Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bigger than it looks I've been looking for a new 'everyday carry' type of backpack for a while now. My current 15L Camelbak HAWG works well enough for most rides, but occasionally I might stop at the store on the way home and quickly run out of room. I wanted to avoid having to ride home just to get my car and come back. I figured going up to a large 32L bag would be ok, but it's WAY too big to use daily, unless you absolutely need the storage space, or built like Andre the Giant. I'm 5'8" and this bag makes me look like a child on his first day of school. Beyond that, the bag is very nice. Well made, heavy duty materials, it feels like it'll last you a good long time, and it better because it's eye-wateringly expensive. Nearly double the price of the Icon Squad4 and AStars City Hunter bags I also tried. It has one (very) large roll top opening, with a liner that can be removed for washing, or if you just want to 'empty' the bag without 'emptying' the bag, meaning you can use it sans liner while still keeping everything in the liner packed up and ready to slip (stuff?) back in. Under the liner is the velcro 'hook' for attaching a water bladder, and the requisite pass through hole for your hose. My Camelbak 3L fits with more than enough space. There's an outer pocket with dividers inside for smaller items, tablet, etc, and that pocket can expand a decent amount as well. One more zippered front pocket, with rubber net. It's not stretchy, and it's not big enough to fit a helmet. Barely big enough to fit a pair of full length riding gloves. Given how much this bag is geared towards waterproofness, that mesh pocket is a strange addition but I'm probably missing something. There seems to be an odd lack of reviews for this bag online. There's also 4 horizontal straps on the front (2 on each side) that you could use to secure rolled up clothing, a sleeping pad, maybe even a small backcountry tent. There's loads of anchor points for carabiners/hooks/velcro/etc so the bag is quite versatile. Back padding is comfortable and thick, but almost TOO thick. It doesn't mold to your shape and feels like a flat board against your back. I imagine that will soften up over time, but as it is now, 30 minutes is enough to make my back sore, both with and without my spine protector in my jacket. Unlike other bags, the padding is not divided left and right to cradle your spine. Another questionable choice for a bag that has the capacity to hold a lot of weight, but I trust Astars to know what they're doing. The shoulder straps, like most AStars bags, are padded and comfortable, as well as adjustable. They come out from the top of the bag at a slight angle, so they don't rub and chaffe against your neck if you're not wearing a jacket. This bag uses a 'quick release' style of sternum strap, similar to that found on some Klim and Kriega bags... and it's not adjustable. With my riding jacket on, it's incredibly tight across my chest. Adjusting the length of the shoulder straps helped relieve some of that pressure, but meant the bag was now sitting lower, and when I had it 80% full, the bottom of the bag was sitting on my pillion. It felt uncomfortably disconnected when making even mild corners. This bag does exactly what it's meant to, and that's hold a lot of stuff. I could see this being a great bag for long rides, and it's comfortable enough to use a day trip or weekend bag, on or off 2 wheels. The rest is just personal preference, but for me and at this price point, I'll keep looking for my Cinderella EDC bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking bag The bag looks great and has some really nice features. I have not actually used it yet as my bike is parked for the winter. I will test it out once the weather warms up.

          Questions

Is this large enough to fit in a full face helmet ?

          Asked by: Berkut
Unfortunately, the backpack wasn't designed to take full-face helmets, so it's tough to say if a full face helmet will fit. However. if the opening up top is big enough for your specific helmet, I would say go for it. Just be sure to keep the helmet in a helmet sock as the inside of the backpack may not be the right material and can damage the visor/shell.
