Rated 5 out of 5 by from A hidden gem for a cold season touring glove! Bought these as I plan to commute to work and tour across Quebec until the government mandated winter tire law kicks in on December 1st, and was a bit nervous at first as there are no professional reviews and barely any customer reviews for these gloves. After using them on weekend tours and in a 50mm downpour commute, I can now say these are great gloves! My review doesn't take into account long term durability, but between the low price and the fact that it doesnt use real leather I'm sure I will only get 1 or 2 solid seasons out of them. They are VERY warm, almost too warm to use above 13c for me. I found 2-10c is the sweet spot for these. Might work at colder temperatures as well, but haven't tested them out below freezing yet. They are very waterproof as well, and no water has penetrated into the insulation in the worst rain I've ever ridden in. The only problem I see is the synthetic exterior soaks up the water like a sponge, so while I'm dry inside the glove the glove itself stays wet for a very long time. The touch screen index finger is super handy, as when I have to make GPS changes on the go I don't have to remove my gloves and deal with trying to wrestle them back on. For sizing, these follow the usual Alpinestars quirk of having to go up a size compared to other brands. This is my second pair of Alpinestars gloves, and both have been size large. Normally I am medium with companies like Icon. Not an issue, but worth noting if you're coming from another brand. Anyways, all in all a great glove if you needed a second pair of gloves to keep your riding season going in the fall or starting early in the spring! Figured I would do a thorough review as no one else online has yet!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good for the price I have been using these for cold weather riding. They suit me fairly well on my naked bike all the way down to about 3 degrees in city riding. For extended highway use or for any riding at or below freezing, I would suggest heated gear. Water resistance is good but you will notice some ingress over time. The wrist closure could be a little better; the opening isn't deep enough to accomodate the sleeves of some jackets and is only held by a single velcro strap. Impact protection seems relatively minimal. As far as sizing is concerned, I usually hover between Medium and Large, depending on brand and these gloves fit me perfectly in size Large. For reference, my hands measure: 19cm from tip of middle finger to base of palm and 22cm around hand at base of fingers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for winter. Got this a month ago and have been riding everytime it gets above freezing (dont wanna hit ice!) And they have been great. No leakage at all and warm enough for those humid cold mornings. Buy size up as other buyers have said aswell and enjoy the dry hands!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hot Paws I’m not sure what makes these motorcycle gloves aside from the Alpinestars logo. They felt exactly like my kids Hot Paws winter gloves from Walmart. Nice and warm but very little protection. Even with the warning to size up, they fit very tight. I returned them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not purchase this item I bought it a month ago, it’s a waste of money. The protection on the glove is next to nothing. Its good for a cyclist posing to be a biker. The glove isn’t good for cold weather or fall weather riding. It is waterproof, really waterproof. Since it has no protection on it it feels comfortable on the hand and gives a raw feel when using the controls on the handlebars. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It works better as something you wear when it’s cold, not for riding. It offers zero wind protection. I ride year long, rain or shine, hot or cold. This ain’t it chief.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good gloves; tight fit As advertised, these gloves are warm and dry. I was riding down to zero or -1 in these and my hands were comfortable. They definitely fit small. If your hands get a bit sweaty and you take them off, it's a struggle to put them on again. The gauntlet (wrist part) needs to be bigger. There's no way it's going to fit over the cuffs of my jacket but they do fit underneath.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good. Bought these primarily to extend my season, haven't actually tested their waterproof ability. They did provide adequate comfort down to 5 degrees celsius. Due to the insulation and length of finger, there is some lack of precision using switches, thus the 4 stars.
