These premium crash bars, drawn from 1 inch stainless steel tubing, protect your engine casing and plastics from the wrath of the pavement. The AltRider Crash Bars are designed for the impact load to be transferred to the frame, not the hardware. Unlike steel powder coated products, the AltRider stainless crash bars won't ever rust, even after they are scratched. Installation is easy since the bars bolt on quickly using existing mounts. Item has not need installed as of yet, so cannot accurately comment on this. They do look very solid and more robust than the competition. They are expensive, true, but what they protect is more so. Worth the expense in my opinion.

A pain to install properly.
Good solid bars but to mounting holes of the sides don't line up with the holes of the bike. Puts a lot of stress on the mounts. Had to shim at two places and ovalize two holes on the bracket of the bars. Not an error of mounting procedure, I'm a mecanic and know how to install simple parts.

The best on the market
I bought this crash bar to replace the OEM + GIVI that were installed on my Super Tenere 2015 when i purchase it. I was afraid to bend the frame in case of a fall down. The AltRider crash bar is way better designed and look very nice. The fit and finish is top notch.
