Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but sensitive to discharging I've owned a few of these and have used them exclusively on modern race bikes. They have plenty of power to start and run a 2003 R6 and a 2018 Ninja 400. Love the size and weight, however: If they discharge too low (i.e. below 9V) there is a high likelihood that they are toast altogether.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very powerfull little thing I bought this battery as aux battery to power an aux cooling fan ive installed on my motorcycle.this little battery is so powerfull.cant believes they can pack up so much power in a so little block of plastic.however,i find their price way too high for what it is.a battery powerfullm enough to be used as main pow er source for my bike would cost close to 500$ which is totally insane.will stay with my yuasa lead acid unit as main.

Does this unit come with a DC charger?

Asked by: Doog650r
I bought my battery a few years ago and it did not come with a charger.  I had to buy the charger separately.

Does this battery have internal protection against under or over voltage situations?

Asked by: Paulvr
No. their higher end products do, but this one has no BMS and therefore no under/over voltage protection. That being said, because it's a 4s Lipo it can tolerate a max voltage of no more than 14.8v so you *shouldn't* run into any over voltage scenario under normal circumstances. You can set it up with an isolator switch so that the bike's internal clock can't drain it over the winter storage months, if disconnected or removed it will hold a charge for ages. I've had one die after ~5 years use (w/ multiple deep discharge periods & recharges, it was a learning experience) and eventually it puffed up like an old laptop battery & ceased ouputting voltage. If you take better care of it I'm sure it'd last for much longer.
