Show quality chrome,built solid,great performance
I bought the "Slot Track chrome" air cleaner about two years ago as part of my stage-1 upgrade. I love the look. It hides less of the engine than the stock unit. My bike gets compliments about it. The stage-1 setup has V&H Twin-slash slip-ons, this air cleaner, and the V&H FP3 tuner. The air cleaner sticks out pretty far and my knee does tend to touch it (I'm 5'10") but it doesn't bother me. It just took a few rides to learn to ignore it. The rear brake pedal on the Sportster is small so I have to turn in my foot a bit to reach it. Again, I got used to it. If I could find a bolt-on pedal pad that would make it wider, like the Softails have, that would solve it, but as it is I can live with it. I like that the filter uses no oil and can be cleaned. I've never had a rain sock on it but I cover it with my wife's shower cap when I'm washing the bike with the garden hose. The bike has been caught in a couple of storms with torrential rain without a rain sock but it started right up afterward, no problem at all. I've also riden through heavy rain several times and the engine ran fine so I don't believe any significant amount of water gets sucked in. Before I purchased this air cleaner, I read up about it on the AN website and it showed that the base plate is supposed to have a plastic part that catches oil (if any drips from the jug vents) but the unit I received lacked this feature. I don't know if FN shipped me an older unit or what. That said, I was worried that oil might leak out the bottom of the filter but after riding with it 2.5 seasons so far, I haven't seen a single drop.
Also shown in the photos, the Vance and Hinds 3" Twin-slash slip-on exhaust and the 12.5" Progressive shocks were purchased at Fortnine and I like them a lot too.

Looks awesome
Ordered this for my 2014 Streetglide and it looks awesome, easy to install but not so happy with the price. Pretty expensive for a air cleaner but I guess you pay for the name.

Looks amazing!!
Bought this air cleaner about a month ago and love it! Looks amazing and you can actually hear the air sucking into the engine. Noticeably more power over the stock air cleaner and looks 100% better! Fairly easy install, having to remove the gas tank to take off a bracket was the worst part. Great product!

I purchased this breather as a visual statement. I was surprised and impressed the difference it made from my stage one Harley setup. Immediate power increase and a sound that takes me back to flipping the air filter cover on my old man's Mopar. Highly recommended.

Better than the picture shows
I bought this for a stock 03 Heritage. Perfect fit, alignment and finish. After the exhaust and tuning......definitely a difference. And, the looks. Worth every penny.

Very nice product
Had it on for about 3 weeks. Installed pretty easily. Looks great. Not sure of the performance enhancement yet since I need to have my fuel manganent system retuned accommodating the new instalment. My only minor complaint is they supply a little amount of lock tight. Maybe I used too much. That's the only complaint. Overall, good quality from Arlen Ness. As always, quick and reliable service from Fortnine. Cheers!

Questions
Is the filter water resistant or do you need a sock to cover when wet?
I don't have a cover on mine and works perfectly fine without a cover.

Is the filter element cleanable for multiple uses and is there a recharge and cleaner kit available?
I asked the same question at an Arlen Ness dealer when I was in Sturgis last year. His response was to use K&N cleaning products and to clean it in the same manner you would a K&N filter. So, in other words as on the instructions on the cleaner.

Can u use k/n oil on this filter
I use the clear KN oil. The other oil will leave a pink colour which in my mind takes away from the look of this wicked setup.You may see a pinkish filter if you use the pink oil.
