Great tire
I've been running Avon Tires for well over 100,000 kms on my Yamaha FJR 1300. These Spirits have been tested on the track, spirited back road running and touring in all weather and road conditions. These tires never fail to impress me. The harder you run them, the better they work.
The only negative is that they do not offer the same mileage as the previous 3D-XMs. This is the only reason that I am giving them a 4/5 in the "value for your money".
Give them a try, you'll love them.

Another great sport touring tire from Avon.
Having ridden sport touring tires from every major manufacturer over the last 20 years I can say the Avon offering is as good as anything else available, and is usually cheaper.
Recently rode through dry, rain, cold mountain passes and warm valleys. The Spirit never skipped a beat.
Handling is neutral, bump absorption is excellent and dry/wet traction are more than you will ever need outside of a racetrack.
Only negative is the tread wear on the sides of the rear is slightly uneven between the leading and trailing edge of the tread block. Some amount of this is normal, and is the price you pay for soft compounds on the sides of the rear tire with aggressive siping for water dispersion. Will keep and eye on it as well as tire pressure.
Pics are of the tires with just under 3,000km's.

Great street/touring tire
These handle awesome. I run them on my V-Strom 1000 and the rear is good for about 15,000km. The front should go 30k. The rear is very quiet on the highway until about the 12000km mark then they do get louder.

Great tires
Purchased as a set to replace Michelin Road 4's. Less expensive than the Michelins and very easy to install. Bike turns in easy, no vibration or noise, so far so good.

Awesome Tires.
I'm on my second set of these tires and they're great. They last well due to the harder rubber in the center of the tread and hold the corners really well with the softer sides.

Very good tire
I have a FJR 1300 2014 , i'm the kind of driver who like acceleration and curve , this tire stick to the road , and the handling of the bike is much better than the Michelin Pilot Road 4 that was on the bike when i bought it .
Next thing is to see the mileage i can do with those tire .
