doesnt work on a single fire ignitition system
Installed on 2009 Vstar 950 and even with the Baron single fire ignition adaptor, the needle bounce at idle and at 2000 rpm was 500-700 rpm. Contacted Baron and they said that's normal on single fire ignition system. They recommended I run power and ground direct to a battery source and solder connections. It improved slightly when I did this, but was still excessive. Would not have bought this product if I had known about the needle bounce issues on single fire ignition systems.

Needle Bounces at Low RPM
I installed on my Suzuki C90 (Single Fire Ignition) and could not get the tach needle to stop bouncing when running under 2000RPM. Reinstalled a couple times, soldered connection and power and grounded to battery. Still doesn't work. DO NOT PURCHASE for Single Fire Ignitions.

Purchased the tach for my 2013 Vulcan 1700 and had planned to buy another for my 2007 Vulcan 900. The tach looked great and it was easy to install. But it was defective and almost ruined the ECM on the bike. I got a complete refund. Needless to say, I did not buy another one for the small Vulcan.

Very Nice part, would work better on 4cyl
Installed on my shadow 2014, vtwin, very Nice start up sweep, machined perfectly, painting is 7/10 (im difficult) 2 cylinder Gets unperfect reading (250rpm jump dépending on range) but very satisfied overall
