Great Helmet, great service from FortNine!Because of the riding position I needed a helmet that was designed for a 3/4 or full tuck position and this fits the bill. A large view port and more visor at the sides makes for less head movement when doing head checks to the side. Light weight, good airflow, looks great and feels good. The only thing I found that is a negative, which really isn't a negative with some ear plugs, is the wind noise...not bad but, noisier than other helmets I have.
Normally I take a L but, because reviews I'd read suggested it fits small an very snug, I originally ordered an XL but, that turned out to be too big. I returned it and ordered a L and although very snug it really is perfect (I've read that the pads will compress as much as 20% over time to conform to the shape of your head/face). By the way, I was very impressed with FortNine's easy returns...they really couldn't be easier. Kudos.
Very happy with this purchase and very happy with FortNine's no hassle returns and service. Received the shipment within a couple of days and the refund for the first helmet in just over a week. Awesome!

Awesome helmetI bought this a month ago and have not regretted it at all. The improved comfort, and vision afforded by it are more than offsetting the increased noise. Well worth the money in improved safety as well.

Great helmet; didn't fit meBought a small to replace my rs-1. Materials were top notch, assembly too. But my nose didn't fit in the chin guard! Returned it and will be checking out the rs-2 instead.
Would it possible to let me know if this helmet has speaker cutouts

No speaker cutouts here. In fact, after rides longer than 4-5 hours, I find the Race Star uncomfortably tight against my ears. However, my head is rounder than most - my long distance helmet is an Arai QuantumX. Otherwise, the Race Star is excellent, with the best aerodynamics and face shield systems I've ever seen.

No, it comes with both Clear and Gold Iridium face shields.
