Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great helmet This helmet is a real long oval. I have a real struggle finding a helmet that fits my 62cm long oval head. I used to use a shark RS2i that fit me perfectly, but it was getting close to 10 years old. I had a Shoei GT air for a bit, it would give me a hot spot on my forehead, but was tolerable. I tried an Icon Variant XXL, LS2 Citation XXL, Icon Airmada XXL (couldn't even get my head into the helmet), Scorpion EXE 420 XXL. None of them really fit like a true long oval to me despite what the reviews said. Closest one to a true long oval in my opinion was the EXE 420. At this point I was just trying to find any helmet that fit comfortably regardless of safety features or price point. Now I've only taken out the Bell star for one 30 min ride, but it is fantastic. Amazing field of view, very comfortable, not too heavy or noisy, vents well. The transition lens does an amazing job of adapting to sunny conditions, but best of all, this helmet is packed with safety features and supremely comfortable for me to wear right out of the box. Keep in mind that I got this first in XXL but it was too big (because it is a true long oval I don't have to go up one size to get the front/back clearance i need for my head). The Bell Star MIPS in XL fits my 62cm long oval head perfectly, nice and snug with no hotspots what so ever. I truly recommend to anyone that is contemplating this helmet, especially at the currently discounted price. I will be awaiting for another colour scheme to go on sale in my size so I can buy another to keep as a backup.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bonn achat ! Je trouve la vitre panovision très efficace. C'est un casque plus bruillant qu'un Arai mais pour le prix c'est correct. Belle finition et la pochette de protection matelassée est vraiment bien, ça fait haut de gamme.

Questions

What would the ideal Bluetooth speaker for this helmet be (for GPS, music, communication with fellow riders)?

Asked by: makotosolo
Pretty much any major brand of comms unit: Sena, Cardo or Uclear. We would recommend the Cardo Freecom or Packtalk Bold units.

I have a 2013 Bell Star sized XXL, anyone know how the fit on the new Bell Star compare to the last gen sizes??

Asked by: Steve
The 2013 Star in XXL fits head sizes 62-63cm. The current Star in XXL fits 63-64cm. Also the 2013 version came with 40mm size cheek pads and the current comes with 35mm cheek pads.

Hi, does this helmet come with pin-lock anti fog on the visor? I've seen people mentioning it doesn't, which is surprising as I have come to think of that as almost a standard nowadays.

Asked by: DVANS
It does not come with a pinlock shield. This helmet comes with a premium Panovision ProTint Photochromatic face shield.
