Great alternative
This item is an inexpensive alternative to the overpriced other 12 volt sockets. It does the job very well which is only to supply power to my GPS.
It comes with very long cables so it reaches the battery easily and installing it was really a breeze. 10 minutes and all was done.

I was long looking for a 12 Volt outlet and this product is good designed, functional and so easy to instal. I combined this outlet with my battery loader cable and can disconnect it any time. I bought an other one for my wife's BMW because she has a heated vest and it is so comfy for her to plug the vest in with no problems during riding. I also like the idea to run a light in the night while camping.
Just worth the money spend.

A must have
I've bought several of these 12 volt sockets.
Easy installation...just one thing missing.
Please put an inline interrupter switch (on/off)
to control the power to the switch.

Its perfect
This accessory is a no brainer, and from what I saw as alternatives in CanT or PAuto, nothing else even came close for quality and sensible connection. Very easy install. The waterproof cap is heavy duty and keeps the contacts inside clean and dry.
Considering removing it from the handlebar and putting it through the tank bag so everything is covered.

Great Power Adapter
Easy to install I didnt have enough room on my clip on handle grips but it was easily mounted to the inside of my fairing using the hardware that came with the unit.

Easy to install. Took off the seat, loosened the tank cover, slid the wire under and hooked up the battery. Easy peasy.

Questions
How many amp is fuse? Can it power tire compressor
If I hook it up straight to the battery is there any way to stop it from drawing power when the bike is off? Could I just pull the fuse when not riding?
It does not draw any power if there is nothing plugged into it. For example if you are using it for a GPS or iPhone, just unplug the GPS or iPhone from it. Make sure the positive side is well insulated, so that it does not short out to ground.
