Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't recommend Pros May be used for steering head nut and shock preload for multiple motorcycles Readily available in Canada Cons Qualify of construction is not great Easily slips off steering head nut when pressure is applied The handle makes it difficult to use in limited space around steering head Difficult to use with a torque wrench Last Word Next time I will be using a castellated socket on the steering head nut.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Resembles the one I had for 15 years I am glad I was able to replace this tool but the quality is mediocre. The adjustment gear and guide is just not nearly as good as the one I had. Maybe with use it will smoothen a bit but it's movements are clunky compared to the old one sadly. So as a replacement for a tool you need once a year; Sure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for adjusting suspensions too I use it to adjust suspensions. More practical than having multiple spannners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tool for the job - just expensive This is THE tool to have in your box of goodies when it comes to doing the steering head bearings. The fact that this wrench has a slot opening for a socket is perfect for using a torque wrench when tightening. As a bonus, I was able to use this wrench on my rear shocks to adjust the preload.

Questions

Can this item be used to Adjust your rear shock preload as well?

Asked by: Alexander87
A great addition to your track day toolbox for sure. Yes, it can be used to adjust shock preload collars. I use it mostly on my track bike Ohlins TTX shock and works like a charm. Only draw back is that you do need the room and clearance to use it. If you have a Ducati super bike like the 848, 1098, 1198, then good luck as there is no room from either side of the bike to be able to access the collars on the shock without having interference either from the frame, the exhaust, or the shock reservoir. Other than that, a great tool. Works great on triple clamp stem nuts as well.
