Not so good
Found it very difficult to get it seated in the housing as it is not made of a rigid material. ( The original is made of hard plastic and fits perfectly) Had to do lots of maneuvering to get it to fit properly in the housing.

Not the best filter
Filter is ok I ordered K&N out of stock.I was sent this replacement filter. Cannot clean with K&N cleaner. Replacement filter use dry cleaning spray. The filter is made on the cheap side compared to stock

Works great but required trimming
Had to trim down the plastic tabs in order to fit it in the air box but other than that it’s fine. Replaced a high flow so I can’t say if it’s an improvement over stock, though I’m quite sure it is. You can definitely hear the ram air sing more though so there must be better air flow. For sure better value for the $ than other products I’ve used.

Woke the bike right up!
Was wanting to put a new air intake in but everything I wanted wasn’t in stock so I tried this. Glad I did it. Let the bike original and walk the bike right up with quicker throttle response and harder acceleration. Fit like a glove and easy to change I would recommend this

Works very well
Tried this in my Vstar 1300 tourer. Also running a Vance and Hines two into one pipe. Replacing the stock filter I noticed an immediate game in throttle response and power. Seems to be built well and definitely allows more air intake live the other guys. If you are looking for an alternative to Stock and don’t want to spend 300+ dollars for a hyper charger this is a great alternative.
All this being said I have not done any mapping yet and not sure if I’m going to. The bike is fuel injected with an O2 sensor so I don’t know if that helps but there is a minimal backfiring if not less than I had before

Questions
I was wanting to know why the filter can not be rinsed in water after the cleaning solution is applied. I don't have access to compressed air for cleaning. I have k&n cleaning solution and oil. Can this be used on the Bikemaster filter. Thanks.
I have simply used a soap and water solution to clean the filter. Let it dry thoroughly and re-install and have had no issues at all. I wouldn't use the K&N cleaning solution or oil at all.
