Do not buy
I bought this tool and used it to split my case, the metal prongs bent in and cracked due to the force. It’s cheaply made I would recommend a different brand

Do not buy this splitter.
The tool attaches to the cases like any other tool, but when you start to thread the rod down that pushes against the crank, the entire threaded part in the center of the tool turns, and are no points on it to which a wrench or other tool could be used to hold it while turning the threaded rod. Terrible design.

Decent quality, does it's intended job.
Decent quality tool, worked fine as intended although you must also put a bit of brain power and think about the task at hand. Use the tool only to put tension on the casings. Help the tool and and tap the engine casings so they split evenly and not just crank like a mad man because if you're lucky you'll end up only breaking the tool, if unlucky, breaking the engine case.
