Decent quality, poor lighting
I bought this two months ago and I ride almost every day and often times at night. My bike came with no turn signals so I decided to get this tail light to solve the issue.
The goods
- It's gorgeous. On my black and grey GSXR 750, the smoked taillight looks incredible and for esthetics alone, it's worth all the money.
- Easy to install. Remove a few clips, splice a few wires and screw the taillight in place ! Came with resistors as well so the installation was a breeze.
- Instructions were included, with details and pictures so even for a beginner it should be an accessible mod, you could even do it without soldering as it comes with red splice clips !
The bads
- Poor lighting. Although they put alot of emphasis on how bright they are, I've actually been in multiple situation during daytime where people didn't see me put the turn signal. It's a combination of angle of projection of the LEDs and average brightness I don't need to tell you why that's a serious concern and I'm somewhat uncomfortable in bright daylight due to that. The brake light on the other hand is nice and visible. *Not a problem at night time as they are very bright with no ambient lighting*
- Built quality slightly lesser than the original taillight that came with the motorcycle. Now I know Suzuki makes nice bikes but some parts are a bit on the cheaper side, the taillight being one of those. This unit seems even less solidly built but for its purpose I don't believe it will fail soon.
Overall I'm pleased with the taillight and I personally think it looks amazing but I must also admit I must come to intersections/merges with more care as I know it's not the brightest turn signal on the market.

Worked as Advertised
The fit and installation of the tail light quick and easy. Everything fit well. I connected the Bikemaster blinker wires to the stock blinker wire so I did not have to modify any of the bikes stock wiring harness.
I could not use the replacement flasher unit that came with the Bikemaster Light because I still have stock blinkers on the front.

Installed it with the smoke lens first, then installed OEM RED lens, i prefer the RED lens.

Not "Plug and Play" like the video suggests.
When I went to install the light the connector does not match the ones on my motorcycle. Will need to figure out and splice the wires to my wiring harness or may return and go with another brand that features OEM wiring harness connections.

Does the job and a lot brighter than stock.
Picked up the KTM Duke model for my 08 SMR, at first I had no signal to the light, but after a quick look through the included wiring diagram everything was sorted out fairly easily. The lights themselves are a lot brighter than stock and easily seen during the daytime. The tinted model wasn't as dark as others I have bought for my previous bikes, but it still look nice. Also feel like I should note that the plastic isn't all that strong. Don't drop it, even just a foot. This is from experience.
TL:DR Bright lights even in daytime, clean fit, and helpful wiring diagram included.

Great LED's, with loss of function
Great looking LEDs and I love that the turn signals are integrated as the stock location of the signals on my 2001 VT1100C are in a super awkward place if you've got saddle bags.
Would have given 5 out of 5 stars if I didn't loose my license plate light with this product. Stock taillight doubled as the license plate light, but LED placement prevents this. I needed to order LED license plate mounting bolts to get some level of legality back on my ride.
I don't like being forced to upgrade stuff when replacing stock parts.
Still recommend as other models might not affect licence plate light like mine.

Questions
Can you confirm that this will fit on a 2001 Yamaha FZ1 please? It looks nothing like my stock tail lights and I just can't imagine this fitting without me taking a Dremel to my tail section.
