Thick blades.
Works as advertised however the thickness of the blades prohibits use in my case as they will not insert between the pads. Clearly depends on the thickness of your disc, Works fine to depress the pistons after pads are removed.

Well made, useful brake tool
This is a well built tool that works well for spreading your brake pads in your caliper. The closed thickness of the jaws is a little wider than the the typical gap between the brake pads so some effort is needed to insert the tool between the brake pads.

Fit for a computer desk setup.
This is a great spreader clamp for my alternate use case. I have a small computer desk that just fits into a narrow space, and needed to add a keyboard tray to it to get the typing height to be just right. The problem is that all the under-desk keyboard trays available are too wide for my narrow desk. I could do a custom build, but I wanted a quick fix with what's available. So, I decided using a laptop table placed under the desk to act as the keyboard tray. These come in C-Table and Z-Table formats. I got the Z-table. This setup works out fine heightwise, but the table wobbles and shakes when typing on it, which is most anoying. All these type tables are quite flimsy build, good for occasional use, and aren't really designed for permanent setups. So, then I thought if I could "clamp" the tray table to the desk I could stabalize it. I have lots of clamps of various sizes and styles, but all are designed to pull things together. I then started to google for "spreader clamps", and came up with a few choices. I first bought the "Lang Tools 279" clamp, which worked great, but arrived full of oil and grease, which had to be cleaned, and still retained the greasy smell that was not really pleasant for my use case. I had thought I needed something with a ratching action that locks into the position, so originally felt that it would be the best choice for my application. But, then I found this Bikeservice model, which seem ideal for the use, it also looked cleaner, and better suited to the job. My only concern was whether it would become slack after awhile since there was no apparant ratching lock action in the mechanism. However, I decided to try it out, and to my delight, it worked out better than expected. It comes with a very thin film of oil which is easily cleaned off with isopropyl alcohol, after which it's perfectly clean and odorless, which makes it suitable for the computer desk application. It stays put, doesn't loosen, and as a bonus, doubles as a headphone hook! Having discovered that such a tool exists, I've begun collecting a few different types for my toolbox. I can immediately see other uses for this type clamp that I might use it for in the future. So, it's good to have a few of these tools in the toolbox; expands my moderatly large clamp collection.

Questions
What is the difference between the two measurement options? (30mm or 65mm)
The measurement is the width of the paddle (jaw) that engages the brake pad for spreading. For larger brake caliper systems you would use the wider jaw. I bought the 30mm jaw and it works well for my motorcycles.
