Love this helmet
This is my first full-face helmet. I was worried that the chin bar might sit too high and not actually cover the lower jaw, based on some of the google images I saw. Happy to report that this is not the case for me. The helmet fits me perfectly (I have slightly oval head-shape) and is super comfortable after about a week of break-in. I find the visibility excellent, and I can't say that about most of the full-face helmets I tried. And I tried tons. I think this is due the low profile of the helmet - the chin bar doesn't protrude too far away from jaw, but there is ample space. Try before you buy. Very light weight and no frills - but excellent. YMMV

Simple and timeless
Bought this about 4 moths ago, has been comfortable, beautiful gloss black paint job on it.
Fogs up at low speeds but I have a huge nose thats about 1 cm from the face sheild.
Vents pretty good considering there is no vents.
Bought another one for the girl friend.

My 2nd Gringo S, but 1st ECE helmet..
This is my second Biltwell Gringo S helmet, so that should answer the question of how much I like it. The retro styling is what won me over the first time around. But on the topic of firsts; this is my first ECE helmet, and I must admit, putting it on and taking it off is a bit rough on the ears/face. The added safety really tightened up the opening when compared to my previous Gringo S. I read some reviews saying go one size up from your normal size to accommodate this, however I feel that would defeat the newly added safety features. I will continue to be a Biltwell customer as long as they continue to provide retro/classic helmets.

Looks Awesome but...
Love the look, quality is decent... but... it is a loud helmet, the visor vibrates and rattles quite an annoying amount... not a deal breaker only because I wear earplugs but I'd like to see a better fit and function with the visor. Some stealthy venting would be nice, not a complaint just a suggestion.
The D loops for the neck strap are not D's, they're squared off, with the botton the on the strap... it is all just a little clunky and not as user friendly as my other helmets with true D loops.
I followed the guidelines posted on fortnine for getting a size smaller than on the size chart... I'm 2XL according to the Biltwell size chart... I should have followed the chart because I can barely get my head in the XL... I'm hoping it will break in some more because it's uncomfortably tight!
I think most people buy this particular helmet for the retro style/looks over the functionality... glad it's at least ECE.

Sweet 'n' Simple
Bought this bad boy a couple of weeks ago... No frills lid. Visor snap a tad annoying but otherwise it's a great buy.

Great style, decent fit
The helmet looks great and feels good getting on and off. May be slightly more suited to a round shaped head - ordered an XL and swapped in cheek pads from a L to make it more snug hence the lower rating on fit. The visor button snap is a little cumbersome in the beginning but after a few tries gets easier. It's not very hot to wear in spite of not having vents. Theres a slight whistle when visor is open but not a deal breaker. Great basic helmet overall for those who don't want the modern sport bike/robocop look.

Magnifique
