Oversized bar usage on big twins has risen in recent years, but most other manufacturers don't taper their bars to 1" at the ends to accommodate stock H-D set ups. This forces the rider to use cheesy shims to run stock controls or switch their entire set up over to 7/8" which can be costly and never looks OE. Don't give yourself the added headache. Run these bars for a no hassle install.

Biltwell don't knurl Biltwell bars because doing so reduces the surface area where the handlebar makes contact with the risers, thereby compromising clamping power. Stock and aftermarket steel risers commonly found on cruisers and custom big twins have a material density 4 times greater than aluminum. This density doesn't let knurling bite into the riser material, which in turn compromises clamping strength.
