TW42 tyre
Probably not the best choice of tyre for when you are about to set off on a lengthy on-road trip! Having said that the tyre performed extremely well on road in all weather conditions, especially in torrential downpours through mountain passes. I have not had chance to use it off-road, but from previous experience I expect it to perform adequately under non-extreme conditions. On road only the tyre is approximately 50% worn after 2400 kilometres.

Not an 80/20 tire
This came stock on my XR650L and wore down flat across after only 2000km...85 percent road but no hard acceleration or braking. I'm guessing its a 50/50 tread and hence the short life on the road. It handles alright except in mud where it likes to slide around. I bought a trailwing TW42 which is stock on the DR650 and looks more road worthy. If it doesn't last twice as long, I'm done with Bridgestone and will try something lower priced.

The bead of the tire ripped when trying to mount it to the wheel. Had to buy a new tire locally.

Stock tire for XR650L
I ordered this as a original tire replacement. There are better or cheaper tires available, but I like to keep my bikes "stock" with original tires.
