2-way bike to bike with universal connectivity. The world’s best selling 2-way communication system has increased its range to 500m (0.3mi) with the ability to connect to any Bluetooth headset.
Better together. Freecom 2+ connects with any other Bluetooth headset. But to make the most out of its unique sound and intercom qualities there is nothing like a pre-paired set of two.
Extra slim waterproof design With only 16mm top to bottom, Freecom 2+ aerodynamic, IP67 waterproof design, makes the other Bluetooth headsets look like blunt tools.
Sound: All the music you ever wanted streamed directly from your smartphone. Control, share and experience your favorite tune on the road.
FM radio: Built-in FM Radio with RDS for automatic selection of the strongest signal – whether you are in town, or in the middle of nowhere.
Phone: Answer calls, make calls and control your mobile devices with a touch of a finger or the sound of your voice. No one will ever guess you are talking from your ride.
2-way intercom: Rider to passenger short range intercom keeps you both connected at all times. Even comes pre-paired if you buy a set of two.
Aerodynamic design: The thinnest top of the range motorcycle communication system. Only 6.5mm thick.
Audio sharing: Share your play list or favorite radio station with your passenger. Enjoy the vibe together.
Automatic volume: Automatically adjusts your sound volume based on the outside ambient noise. Enjoy Vivaldi at full throttle. Don’t get deaf by AC/DC waiting for the lights turn.
Charge while you ride: Forgot to charge your unit? Running out of battery? Just plug your unit to a battery pack or your 12V charger and turn your unit on. It will charge while you ride.
Explosive sound: Powerful, 40mm-wide, high-definition speakers and specially-tuned audio processor deliver a sound experience like no other.
One killer app: Get full control through one simple and intuitive app, but don’t take our word for it, just download Cardo Connect and find out for yourself.
Universal connectivity: Connect your unit to any Bluetooth headset of any substantial brand.
Call to intercom: Merge any incoming phone call into the intercom conversation. With call to intercom no friend is ever out of range.

Love it!This review is for the Freecom 2+. I've had the unit for about a week now and I've really been loving it. I was worried after reading lots of reviews of various Sena and Cardo products that it might not be loud enough. I ride a Ducati Supersport 939 with a fairly loud pipe (no catalytic converter) and I wear Hearos Xtreme ear plugs. I have tested this up to 150km/h and the music was still audible and I had a phone call around 130km/h which was also incredibly clear. At slower speeds it's even better.
I have an Arai helmet and found a video on YouTube of the best spot to mount the speakers, I'd suggest doing the same for your helmet. For my Arai it is actually inside the cheek pad, you remove both sides and then the fabric is just a cover that pulls off and there is a great spot inside for the Velcro. Then you just pull the fabric back over and reinstall the cheek pads.
I went with Cardo instead of Sena because they are more transparent with their specifications and you know what you are getting. Be aware the Freecom series does not have the same specs as the Freecom + and I couldn't tell you how they compare.
To top it off, Cardo is selling a larger JBL speaker which you can upgrade to. Honestly the speakers are loud and clear enough but I might have to buy the JBL's just to see the full potential.
Love the headset, best money I've spent on my bike. Couldn't go back to not having it.

Works as expected.Light weight, battery lasts a very long time, sound quality is good. Waterproof and well constructed. I haven't yet used all the features but it works perfectly for music and GPS prompts from the bike.

Functional, slick designInstalled on my daughter's HJC i10 helmet. Installation went without drama. Pairs easily with phones, and works well with my Packtalk (BT mode). Sound is on par with the non-JBL Packtalk, and the feature-set also includes FM radio. Voice commands are hit-and-miss.. just like on my Packtalk, so I'm pushing buttons instead. FortNine offered the best price, and shipping was quick as usual.

Works as intendedHad them for a month. Works well including opening the mic for talking to passenger, but still haven’t figured how to connect phone and passenger every time without fiddling with buttons.

Very happy !First time user of a Bluetooth headset, wanted to keep to a budget , very happy with the performance, easy installation and sound quality and volume is great.
Initially installed in HJC IS2 Max.
Only complaint, terminals on unit are exposed and have potential for easy damage
I would recommend , once connected to the base plate leave it on and charge on the helmet.

Expected moreAfter reading a number of reviews I thought this might be perfect. I've installed it in my Shoei J Cruise 11. And find volume levels to be very low. Perhaps it would perform better in a full face helmet.

I have a cardio packtalk bold. I want to get this for my passenger, I’m assuming it should work together?

I have a HJC helmet that is bluetooth capable (apparently with the chatterbox brand). Will this unit also fit in the slot on the side of my helmet? (CL-MAX 2)
Asked by: Newfie6
No, the unit you are referring to is specifically designed to fit into the recess of selected HJC models, and this unit is not designed specifically for the recess of these helmets. However, it is possible to install the Freecom 2 on most helmets, including modular helmets, although the installation may be a bit trickier.

I am trying to understand the specs for a Freecom 2+ headset.
Is this just the same as a freecom 1+ headset with larger range. (distance between the two people)
?
Asked by: Al72
Look at the Cardo Comparison Chart in the Description.
It seems like the freecom 2+ has better speakers and better range than freecom 1+

Is this a set of two i.e. for two riders or just the one i.e. I have to buy quantity of two for two riders? thank you
Asked by: Forts
The Cardo Freecom 2+ is sold in either a Single-Pack or Dual-Pack format. The "Single-Pack" format includes a single cardo system for a single rider, whereas the "Dual-Pack" includes two complete Cardo systems to equip two riders.
You can select the format of your preference from the "Options" drop-down menu on the product page above.
