Loose Fittings, Finicky Operation
I bought two of these and one of them works painlessly, the other is fiddly. Both of them suffer from a very loose plug fitting but so far it hasn't come unplugged while riding. The problem battery seems to be a loose internal connection because I can push down on it a few times and it will stay on for the ride. Battery life is as advertised. One pack at level 5 will not last for a day of riding and they don't remember the setting they were at when you turn them off or they time out, so they always reset to high (5). That can cause your battery to run out prematurely and leave you fogging. I've learned that I should always travel with both my packs, just in case.
That said, it's sooooo nice to not have the visor tied to the machine. For all the quibbles with the plugs and operation I still wouldn't trade it for plugging and unplugging and the dangling wire. So until there's a better quality product on the market I'd still recommend it.

Good and bad
Battery lasts a while but it keeps shutting off on me while riding. There’s also only one butting for all the functions so a little hard to get it right usually. Also it unplugs sometimes. I would buy it again but please make some improvements…

Bought this for the wife helmet .. it work ok it just try to set up is hard.. setting doesnt lock the way we want . I know in the future they will make something better

Needs some more engineering
Having used now on multiple rides i would advise go with direct wiring to your sled. I find connections too loose fitting and use elastics endeavouring to keep cables plugged in as battery pack has to be in an inside pocket to keep warm. One button for power on off and setting problematic and easy while sledding to get “compressed” and turn off. Very annoying. A little more engineering with separate buttons for on / off and power setting under some type of flip up protective cover to avoid inadvertently turning off would be huge improvement. Combine with more secure plug in and than u would have a battery pack that truly is made for sledding.

Long life and sturdy
10X better than the small CKX batteries, use a different cord and don’t seem to be able to get the cord alone like the small battery however. These actually last all day at a medium setting and have survived about 10 rides with no signs of failing any time soon. Don’t waste your time on the small battery pack good for about 2 rides and fort nine never responded to my WTY inquiries on them either so just toss the money away now and go buy these batteries LOL. Only reason I would not recommend is I’m going to a helmet mount battery goggle set up cords suck for mountain riders. Added bonus with this pack though is power bank capable with the USB port.

I got this a month ago used it once and it shut off on me though might be dead charger said was 4 the button works off and on think might just got a bad one but gotta see when I get another one

This battery is compatible with CKX helmet shields equipped with an RCA plug. The operating voltage is approximately 12V.

Can this be used for any brand of goggle or helmet? For example I have a 509 R3 ignite.. was wondering if it would work for this helmet as well
We cannot confirm compatibility with other brands, only CKX goggles or CKX helmet shields that are equipped with an RCA plug. The operating voltage is approximately 12V.
