Looks good and functional
Bought sissy bar and lugging rack together. Not compatible with factory saddle bags. Had to make modifications. Way to expensive for what you get.

perfect fit
I bought this a month ago and am very happy, installation was extremely easy and the fit was perfect, will be ordering another one for my bike down south. Priced this item out in the States and found it to be over $300 US

Great looking rack!
Pricey....but...the rack installed easily on my 2007 Kawasaki 900 Classic LT. I am concerned about the 10 pound weight limitation but it does appear to be robust enough to withstand more than that. Time will tell although I don't intentionally plan to carry more than that on the rack.

Very well built.
Great rack, well built and bolts on easily. Only problem, I had to take my license plate holder off. It was in the way of installing the rack. Had to jimmy rig the plate back on without the holder.

I had great luck with my other purchases, this one...not so much. This was my recent experience:
Today I attempted to install the cobra rear luggage rack that I had ordered in May (the mounting hardware did arrive a week or two after the rack got here). It was given to me by my family as Fathers Day Gift, (hence the install delay). The problem is, the bar does not fit the factory Sissy Bar (2009 Vulcan Classic LT 1700) that it was ordered for. The distance between my Sissy Bar supports/frame (inside to inside) is 12-7/16". It is the same between both the top and bottom bolts.
The rack I received is 11-3/4" between the top bolt holes and tapers to 11-1/2" between the bottom holes. Basically it is an inch too narrow. I do not think putting 1/2" spacers between each bolt is a viable option (although the holes do line up, the provided bolts are only long enough to go through the sissy bar, mounting plate, and rack) because it would clearly make it weaker and ruin the integrity of the Rack.
...I am still waiting to hear back how we make it right.

Questions
What is the distance of the mounting area where it bolts onto the backrest ?
Hi Cory,
This is a vehicle specific product, so each one will have different measurements. For more information we suggest contacting Cobra directly. http://www.cobrausa.com/contact_us/

ihave 2007 vstar classic with oem back rest, will the tubular rack fit? if it does not fit properly are items able to be returned?
The returning part I have no idea, everything I bought has fit. As for the fit part. no problem
loosening everything first makes fitment easier and less likely to scratch anything. Put a towel or mat on your fender before you start in case something slips.

Have you this in black color ?
This item is available in black for specific vehicles, but not for all of them. If you enter the year, make and model of your vehicle on the product page, you will see if this item is a "Guaranteed Fit" or "Not expected to Fit." If the item is a "Guaranteed Fit", all available options for that vehicle will be displayed.

I have a 2013 Suzuki C50 T with a stock backrest. No one the reviews attached this luggage rack to my make and model of Suzuki C50T. I am concerned the holes on the rack will not align with the bolts on the backrest. Please advise.
Not sure if I can help. I bought the backrest and the luggage rack from Cobra knowing that it would work as one unit. All I can recommend is that you make sure that the luggage rack is compatible with your stock backrest through Cobra direct. My suspicion is that it is not.

Have a stock Road Star Silverado Passenger back rest, will this rack fit in the stock location?
I have a Vulcan and the Cobra Rack did not fit my stock rack. I was told I would need to buy a Cobra Sissy Bar. I ended up going to a dealer and paying the extra for a OEM rack (still cheaper than rack and sissy bar).
