Rated 5 out of 5 by from 45000 km Tire is worn out now 45000km on tire. 85000 on bike. Tire is still grippy on corners and great offroad but it is done it was great on wet pavement, dirt but it hated sand. It had excellent stopping power on pavement, I had to spike the brakes several times with that tire and never slipped out once. Good on trails even in ruts. This is all the tire I need for front. I have two rims for rear so can have aggressive 80/20 for dirt and trails then a 20/80 for highway. But dont need anything other than this on front.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great on road tire Have been riding with this tire for 2000 km. Works well on the asphalt wet or dry. Does not work well on gravel, or any damp off asphalt surface. Ordered a new tire. If you only ride gravel when you pull to the side of the road this tire will be fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth highway miles Bought them for highway miles on a ktm 690 enduro. Save the knobbies for backroads. Leave them in the sun for a couple hours and they will be Easy to install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good ride, quite on highway, good value I do not do a lot of dirt riding but running it at touring pressure (38psi) still give especially a confident ride on gravel. It's very stable and quite on pavement. I am running it on a KLR 650.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good tire I put on a set a week before setting off on a two week, 4200km, Alberta 4 Corners road trip. The trip had all kinds of weather from rain/sleet 2 degrees, to dry 30 degree. Average speed travelled each day was probably around 95kph. These tires never felt as if they struggled to maintain grip. I think new tread depth is 7mm, my rear was at 5mm when I got back home. Noise levels were fine by my standard but then I've always had a more dirt oriented tire in my Dakar before these. When I spooned them on they were cold (no sun to warm them up on that day) They went on without any problems.

          Questions

I am riding a DR650 with spoked rims. Are these tires suitable for use with inner tubes?

          Asked by: ToC2
You can fit tubeless tires with tubes, but there are things to consider. The first is that your rim has to be an MT-type rim. If it is marked as a WM-type rim you can only fit tubed tires. Another thing is that it is recommended to treat the setup as one load rating and one speed rating less than the tubeless tire says it can handle. That's because your tube and tire combination will be creating extra heat, especially the harder you ride.

If you look at the pics on any site (or YouTube) you'll notice that the tread pattern is identical between front and rear tires but the pattern is reversed when correctly mounted (going by the directional arrow). Is this right? It just looks wrong!!

          Asked by: smitty
Looks wrong yes but handles on fresh gravel roads very good. Dump trucks dropped about 3 inch of new gravel on road and I felt very stable and buddy with other very popular tire shinko 509 or something like that had very hard time staying upright. My only thing was the back tire only got 14000 km and I had to change. Lots of highway use. Most every tire I have used it is about 20000 km before require change out. Front has great grip on wet pavement the back slid a little. But if you are doing gravel or off road trails I would recommend these.

Are these tube type or tubeless? Radial or bias?
