Worked as described
I put one in front and back of my Africa twin with newly installed Kenda big blocks. Worked as described, no vibration. Easy to install as any regular tube.

Should come with a warning!
I don't know who designed this tube, or what alternative European standards it is compliant with, but the threads on the valve stem are *too big* to fit through the valve stem opening on a Yamaha Vstar 1100. And guess at what point someone who doesn't even suspect that something like this is possible gets to find out about this? That's right, tire half mounted, the stem has been fished through the hole (which, if you have ever done this, you know is a feat on its own) and then after 20 minutes of wiggling, you realize they've made the stem threads too wide for the hole. I am absolutely livid, as not only did I just waste an hour, I now also either have to look for, and wait two weeks, for another tube, or dismount a brand new tire and drill out a hole in a stock rim. And, to make matters worse, instead of dual nuts, this has an annoying metal washer that keeps flopping around and getting in the way while you're trying to fish the stem through. This may be the best self balancing tube in the world, but the valve stem was designed by someone who has high-sided one too many times without a helmet.

Best tubes
Best tubes for the price, ive been using these for over 3 years now and they are great, i use the offroad and never got a puncture and as a bonus they are already balanced so no need to get the wheels balanced

It seems to be a quality tube
It doesn't really cost any more than a standard tube + Counteract beads, and having the beads already in the tube makes the job easier (unless you have really balance poor knobbies like Dunlop 606's ... then maybe you'll need more beads in the tube). The tube itself feels like a quality product and the valve looks to be of high quality too. I'm using this one on a 2012 Yamaha WR250R. Future Ready-balance tubes will get used on a 1999 BMW F650 and on the rear of the WR as well.

Excellent for DIY tire changes
Bought this tube along with a new tire, rim strip, and a pair of tire irons. No balance weights required, and the self balancing tube worked as advertised. The new tire and tube runs true with no vibration all the way up to highway speeds.

What's the difference between rimlock version and non-rl
The rim lock version has more beads in the tube to compensate for the imbalances created from a rim lock.

Can these tubes be used on my 1978 honda xl250s???
As long as you select the right rim size for the tubes, they will work fine. Very happy with them and now have on all my bikes.

Is the mkt-01 a metal side valve or center? I will be using it on an 88 softail with an offset stem.
A TR6 Valve stem is metal and straight, but that does not mean it is offset. TR6 is a stronger valve vs your typical TR4 that most manufacturers cheap out on. TR6 is the base of the valve, being oval vs round and is how it is vulcanized to the tube (TR6 is significantly stronger than a TR4). TR87 is just a 90 degree bent valve, it is still centered on the tube. If you want the TR6 OFFSET (not centered) tube you need MKT-17 (if you are after 16") and that will be listed as TR6 Side Valve or TR6 Off Centre.
Counteract has done an amazing job with these tubes, they are some of the highest quality tubes at an affordable price PLUS they are already balanced...you can't beat that. This company has hit a gold mine with the pre-balanced tubes.
