My bones finally feel safe
Excellent fit if you get the size right. My waste size is 31. I first got a Medium and it was ridiculously too small; I had to return them and change for a size Large. It is hard to pull them up past the thighs at first but be patient: they stretch nicely with usage. (tip: I wore them at home for a few hours before a first ride). Those shorts with the hard shells feel so much safer for my bones than my other shorts (a popular brand with soft padding only). I ride enduro in the mountains, and falls on rocks happen. My petite wife had to get an XL size (!) and feels a bit offended about that, but she feels safe in them and it gave her a boost of confidence with her riding.

Sizing Strange
The shorts look good and seem durable. I ordered the largest size thinking they would easily fit me 38” waist. Nope! But they do fit my 15 year old daughter. So be wary of the sizing.

Definitely Size Up!
I used the sizing chart on another website (rhymes with Godzilla) and bought the suggested medium. For the life of me I could not fit those shorts, not even my petite wife could fit them. I had to return the medium and purchase a large, so definitely size up! The shorts provide good protection where there's padding or armour, however the mesh is easy to tear. I tore a loop in the mesh while trying to pull them up. They feel awkward at first but ou do get used to them after some time or when you start riding. A fly in the front for men would've been nice, I had a horrible time trying to use the washroom because the shorts are so tight.

I like them....buying another pair
I used these over the summer, about 15 time. Mine seem to be holding up just fine. They are very good protection. I wear them on and off road. When I 1st put them on, they seemed way to tight. But I don't even notice them when riding

meh
Protection is not perfect but better than similar products. I personnaly find it incomfortable after a few hours, it make my bum itch big time. Only for that reason I suggest going for something else.

Questions
If used for snowboarding. Does the tail bone protector part bend easily. Such as sitting on the chair lift ?
For the safety it procures, I would not mind the small incomfort. I wear them while driving my truck going to the mx track sometimes and it's ok you get use to it. They just saved my tail bone when I high sided 10ft high and landed on my a** last weekend.

what is the sizing for these E1 hard shorts?
I wear size 32 pants and have skinny legs so got small ones I like them tight around my legs in case of a low side.
