Description

The DENALI SoundBomb split dual-tone air horn produces an earsplitting 120 decibels of sound (four times louder than your typical motorcycle horn!) in a compact two piece design for motorcycles that have a limited amount of space. Ear splitting performance demands attention to make your presence known and keep you safe from traffic that might have failed to notice. A 3 foot length of air line is included to allow the powerful horn to be mounted separately from the compressor for the most efficient use of space. The lightweight components can be securely mounted with cable ties. For maximum safety the compact compressor instantly supplies air to the trumpet by pressing the factory horn button. An upgraded Plug-N-Play Wiring Kit is highly recommended and simple to connect. Significantly improve your safety and visibility with the SoundBomb split dual tone air horn from DENALI!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always be Heard Installed a month ago. I never have to worry about being heard again! I have to grin every time I use it. The original horn is still connected, but it is completely drowned out. The existing horn must remain in place or replaced by a resistor otherwise a controller on the CAN bus will detect no current when the horn is pressed and issue a general failure warning on the display. So far no reliability issues, although almost new. Install is somewhat tedious since there are limited install locations that are not very wet or directly exposed to high engine heat. The 1290 puts out a lot of heat. Expect to spend time planning a suitable install location. The compressor and horn unit are not small. I made my own wiring connections to give me installation flexibility. Cost me an evening of running wires, crimping connectors and applying heat shrink

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Split Denali for a new Triumph Bonneville T100 Horns on most bikes are way too wimpy (i.e. not very protective) and the Triumph Bonneville was no exception. I'm a big fan of the SoundBomb but wasn't sure how to best install it. The Bonnie is a naked machine, so I wanted it to be as unobtrusive as possible. The solution was the Denali split option kit. The compressor fitted nicely on the original Triumph horn mount and I found an ideal mounting point behind the cylinders for the horn unit. I did have to fabricate a special bracket out of aluminum channel to effect a 90 degree turn, but nothing too challenging. I purchased the Denali pre-made harness, fuse and relay which is well worth the money. This tucked neatly under the saddle, right beside the battery. The connecting air hose from the compressor to the horn ran easily, up under the tank (taking care to avoid the hot spots). Any concerns that the positioning of the horn behind the cylinders might compromise its effectiveness disappeared the minute I hit the horn. The volume level is sure to alert even the most dozy of drivers ... a magnificent blended two-tone blast (in a classy way) that would give any car horn a run for its money. It makes me grin every time I have cause to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOUD :-) A bit of a pain to install, even with having the two separate parts. But that's just part of the fun, I guess. I wouldn't ride a motorbike without one of these. The 'meep meep' horns that come standard are completely inadequate. This one can be heard, and does get people's attention when they are contemplating pulling out of a parking lot, alley, or side street.
