Good standard replacement pads
Before these pads I tried the EBC Brakes® Double-H™ Sintered Pads. I figured it wouldn't hurt to be able to shut the bike down faster...but I did not notice much of a difference. I do not have anti lock or linked braking on my bike so I all my braking is completely manual and by experience and feel for the road, so I did not really test them to the max other than a little front or rear skidding on a rare occasion. What had me change to the DP brakes is that the EBC brake pad backing plates did not fit well in my callipers. They were unusually tight, causing the pads not to be able to retract away from the rotor, so they always made a shhhhh sound. I filed down the backing plates slightly but to no avail. Also when I would apply the EBC's it would sound like a hawk screeching in the distance. The DP Brakes Standard Sintered Metal Brake Pads just work. They fit properly, they stop well and they don't make any funny sounds while just rolling or braking. If you ride on the street, and have good brake fluid, this is all you need.

Good brake pads for commutting
I mostly use my bike for commuting; these are great pads for that purpose, however I find that they are not as responsive as Kevlar pads. The first few brakes applications took a little longer to stop and get use to, but once you learn to adjust braking distance they are great... additionally i haven't locked up the wheels yet which happened all the time with Kevlar pads (emergency braking situations).

Work Great
I added these to my Road King have only ridden it a few times so far but they work very well, quiet and will have to wait and see how the dust proof part is after a month or so.

Really not the best choice
Bought these on line when I reviewed the price of the OEM units and it was half again more expensive than these units.
These pads do not have the new retaining pin and spring clip the Harley manual cites as necessary. I always have blue locktite here but I coupled with the delay, no, this was not a good choice. Pay the few extra dollars and get the more complete set.
