Great features, great price
I am building a Yamaha V Star bobber, and replaced the tank with an aftermarket one, so I needed a speedo. This unit has most of the required indicator lights (I drilled the mounting bracket and added a check engine light) plus it has a trip odometer so I can track my fuel usage. It is small, so I could mount it just above my air cleaner and keep my front end uncluttered. It was simple to cut the wiring harness from the existing speedometer connector and make my connections through that, so I can remove the unit if necessary. I added a diode kit so that the turn signal indicator would work with my LED turn signals. Note that the indicator lights are LEDs, so polarity of the connections is important.

Great little unit
This is a slick and good-looking little unit. I was quite surprised how straightforward the connections and setup were. All instructions are on one page, and once you catch on to the long-press/short-press symbols, everything gets simple.

Will this fit a 1997 Harley Davidson xl1200 custom
Based on my research, it should fit, though it is a universal item, so fitment is not guaranteed.
