Replaces both individual coils on yamaha xs400
I have an old yamaha special 400 project bike with two factory coils. I ordered two of these to replace them not realizing one works as both coils. So that’s pretty cool! Both positives go to centre and your negatives are pulsed from the tci unit allowing this coil to choose which side to send power as it pulses. Space saver

Questions
Is the middle terminal on the 2.4ohm coil an additional ground?
No, the middle is positive, each outside screw is ground. This works like a coil pack vs a single coil. Depending which ground is pulsed that’s the side that sends spark. Two connections for plugs and it alternates between them
