Nice Bates repop.
Well it doesn’t have the Bates sticker and it doesn’t have 40 years of grime, but it’s a solid nicely made headlight mount. Fits Triumph (65-69) forks perfect.

Slots are not 4 7/8 wide
Ordered this thinking that the slots would be 4 7/8 wide, ended up being 1/4 tighter and just enough that it wont fit. Otherwise the finish looks good

Not for a Sportster
These brackets require a few modifications to fit on a Harley Sportster. The bolt holes need to be ground inward and a groove needs to be ground onto the back region. This will sacrifice your chrome finish somewhat.

Questions
What are the dimensions of this bracket? I want to know if the mounting holes will line up on my 2005 Sportster 883. I ditched the eyebrow and top mount headlight for a nicer bottom mount one but need a bracket for it without breaking the bank.
It is 1 7/8in wide, with slots centered at 4 7/8in.

I have a 2001 Sporster and the bolts are 4 1/8" center to center. Will this fit?
This part is not bike specific. The holes are 4 7/8" apart, so it probably will not fit
