Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dual purpose tire Recently purchased my second set of Trailmax Missions. I had over 22,000 kms on my previous set before replacing them. Tire works well on pavement and well on gravel roads (forestry roads primarily). The tire performs well in wet conditions on pavement. In cold weather (below 0 C) the tire isn't quite as grippy but it doesn't feel dangerous or uncomfortable if you slow down a little on corners. There is a noticeable vibration on pavement but it's to be expected as there is no solid centre ridge. Can't speak to noise as I always wear earplugs. On gravel roads the tire is very predictable and provides a feeling of confidence. Mud is not too bad so long as it's not deeper than an inch or so, even then you'll find the rear slipping out a bit if you're not cautious. The front tire tends to find it's way well in loose stuff. Wear is extraordinarily good. As mentioned, I got over 22,000 kms on my last set and probably could have pushed it another couple thousand easily. As always with Fortnine, shipping was on time and service was good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NO RAGRETS!!!! So I must have watched every single review on these tires before taking the plunge and buying them to replace my aging Mitas E07’s which has lots of Km’s on them. I have to report that these tires have exceeded my expectations in every aspect but one, MUD. These tires grip pavement, dry and semi dry gravel FSR roads like nothing I’ve tried to date, so much so that I sometimes find myself running way faster than I likely should. The tires can handle it for sure. My only negative is mud, don’t get me wrong they will churn through it very well in fact but they are still just a 50/50 tire. I’m still putting them through the paces out in Golden BC to see the limitations but so far they are excellent! Nice job Dunlop!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Confidence After 11,000 km on the stock tires I have switched to a set of Trailmax Missions. There was an immediate improvement in the handling of my T700. Smoother on pavement. The bike leans more easily on turns. Traction is still good on cold (4 degrees C) wet pavement. Off road there is more positive grip (front and rear) on corners. Having more confidence with these tires has easily resulted in a 10 to 15 km per hour increase in speeds on gravel roads. Wish I would have put them on sooner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grip Replaced the stock tires on my GS with these ones. I ride a ton of gravel roads and the stock tires felt like I was driving on black ice. All over the place. The Dunlop Trailmax tires grip really well and gave me a ton of confidence. It felt like going from ice to cement. World of difference. Not sure about longevity yet, but I can say I already put on about 3000 km, and the tread hasn’t even changed. Still looks new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Tire So Far For My Bike and Riding Style I have had this tire for a while now, and have ridden it mostly on gravel and off road. It has performed exceptionally well; so well that I have just ordered another. The front is especially amazing on loose gravel. The set gives me confidence to ride aggressively because I know what to expect and how it will perform. Great on dirt and gravel, and still allows be to break traction when I need to. Also great on large rocks, babyheads, etc. too. Not the best in deep mud, but what is? Overall the best all around tire I have tried thus far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trailmax tirea Installed on a KLR. Tires work perfect. Surprisingly good in mud, excellent in dirt, gravel. They handle very nice on pavement, solid on corner. I only have 700 km on them. Hoping the tread wear is good. Tire is quiet and smooth on road, I can cross back and forth on two track without slipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 50/50 tire This tire is amazing I was really impressed on how well it grips the asphalt for a 50/50 tire. A great tire off road as well. Can’t wait to see what kind of mileage it has.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DR650 on Trailmax missions Replaced with these after multiple sets of 705 Shinko .Nothing bad to say about 705’s these just do all of what they do better. Very solid on street and in twisties. Front tire more planted on gravel and 2track. Tread is deeper. Tires run quiet. Given the higher cost versus 705, hoping mileage also is higher. Shinko 3 rear to one front. 8k km on rear. Have not been in any heavy mud but I usually try and avoid it anyway. Lots of dirt roads, sand, etc. I’m pleased with the Missions after 1000km.

          Questions

Is this an 70%/30% on/off road? 60/40? Also, do they give an expected mileage?

          Asked by: gt750
I ride approximately 50% on road and 50% off on a Yamaha Super-Tenere and while I'm not hard on tires, I don't baby them either. I currently have close to 20 000km on them and I think they will last at least another 7 000km.

can these tires be used with tubes?

          Asked by: Rumman
The Trailmax Mission tires are tubeless, however if mounting on rims that require a tube (i.e., spokes) the appropriate tube may be fitted.

Are these usable with a 2020 Suzuki dr 650 ? with stock wheels and tubes ?

Looking for a more agressive looking tire for my heavy GSA that will replace the stock Michelin Anakee 80/20 tire for a bit better grip on gravel and packed dirt. My question is regarding hard cornering on paved twisties. How do they do on curves?

          Asked by: GS Rider
I have these on my Tiger 800 and I can ride aggressive enough to drag the center stand, havent had any traction issues on pavement. Early and late season commuting is usually about -8C in the morning and haven't had any issues on the pavement in those Temps either, not riding hard in those times though

Will these work on a 850 Triumph Tiger Sport?

          Asked by: Phil
As long as the tire size you need is available. You can find this information in your owner's manual, or by checking the current tire sizes that you have installed (the size will be written on the sidewall of the tire).
