EBC CK Series Clutch Kit Item # 142131

Description
If you need to replace worn original plates these are exactly the same technology, size and shape and drop right into your clutch basket. Plates must be oil soaked using standard drive case oil for a few hours before install to avoid heat scorching. Always replace tired clutch springs and check for wear on driven (non lined) plates. If clutch has been slipping before replacement a full DRC or DRCF kit may be a better choice.
Features:
- Full engine sets of friction plates only
- Made with OEM style cork based materials
- Stack height measured to reset clutch as new

Heavy Duty
Perkier than stock. Be sure to soak for a good period of time in your go-to engine oil before installation.

Exact fit compared to OEM!
Bought these over the winter as I prepared to do a clutch overhaul on my 1985 CB450SC Nighthawk with around 74,000kms on the odometer.
Last season, my clutch would slip as I would be on full throttle near 6k RPM where my bike makes peak HP. I decided to replace the clutch plates, steel plates and clutch springs to fix the issue.
I can conclude that the EBC parts for this particular bike are exact fit, and a bit less expensive than the OEM stuff from the local Honda shop. I made sure to soak them in oil for around 3 hours before installation as is recommended in my manual and on the product packaging.
I've only done around 200kms since the clutch work, but not once has it slipped on me. I would recommend changing all 3 components at the same time like I did to make sure you don't have to go back in there to change anything other components shortly down the line.

exact match to OE plates
after 120,000km on my vstar 1100 the clutch started to slip under hard acceleration - changing out the clutch plates and giving the disks a good sanding has gotten my grip back. 3000km on them so far and no slippage, stock feel, just back to normal.

What a Difference!
Perfect fit. Easy install. Made a huge difference in the handling of my bike. I suspected the clutch was slipping a bit but it wasn't obvious, until I changed out the clutch plates and springs! WOW. Should have done that sooner.

Will it work for a 1999 RM 250 with a moose billet basket
Does this kit goes with full synthetic oil?
it says in the description "If clutch has been slipping before replacement a full DRC or DRCF kit may be a better choice." Do you have a link to what that is? and where i can buy that. my clutch is slipping...
The full kits they are talking about include the friction plates, steels and springs.Cost likely is triple. This kit is just the friction plates. If the steels are grooved or the springs are broke you have to replace these parts.I usually just replace the friction plates if no damage to other parts.Never had a problem.9 times out of 10 all that is needed is the friction plates.
