Description
Hand built by trained engineers, these are no production line mass produced product. British made discs using German mill rolled precision stainless steel rotor blades mounted onto lightweight alloy centre hubs using the EBC patented SD square drive button technology. Square drive buttons resist loosening and prevent vibration common with low cost circular rivets or buttons. Rotor blades are diamond cross-ground for ultra smooth flat finish for fast and perfect pad bed-in. All EBC discs are 100% inspected for accuracy and runout. New pads must be installed, please choose from our wide selection of organic or sintered pads elsewhere on this site.

Improvement over OEM
At 190,000 km, the front brake rotors were due for replacement and I usually prefer to use OEM parts over aftermarket products. I used EBC brake pads only once in the past, but because they squealed I've stayed with OEM pads. So of course, my intent was to purchase the OEM front rotors. However, they were backordered for several weeks. So I opted for the EBC rotors which, incidentally, were quite a few dollars less than the OEM. I ordered the EBC sintered pads as well - the manufacturer strongly recommends using EBC pads, otherwise the warranty on the rotors is nullified. Installation was straightforward and the rotors and pads fit perfectly. I've since logged about 4,000 km without a hitch. In fact, the braking is somewhat superior to the OEM rotor and pad combo, and no squealing.

Huge improvement
Really grabby, matched with EBC sintered brake pads was a huge improvement over my stock breaks. Expensive but money well spent.

Does NOT fit 2017 KTM 690 Duke
Despite it being a guaranteed fit for a 2017 690 Duke and the part number on the box matched with EBC's catalogue the bolt pattern of the disc is a larger than factory disc.The OEM disc has an 85mm diameter bolt patter and the EBC disk that arrived had a 90mm bolt pattern.Will obviously be returning it.

Upgrade?
Well yes they are. Fitment was perfect and simple. They look better than the OEM and work well. As I only have about 300km on them I have not done the bedding procedure yet so not really tested them but so far they seem exceptional.
