Questions

What is the difference between a racing chain and an off road chain? And is a racing chain still good for mud gravel and the odd stick from trail riding?

Asked by: New to this
Off-road chains are used mainly for dirt bikes. They are often sealed and allow for more free movement, and are usually o-ring type. O-rings hold lubricant well. Racing chains are often sealed and are not usually o-ring type chains. We recommend asking your local mechanic for advice on switching between chains to determine the best option for your purpose.
