Procom is the worst company ever!
On 6/22/17 I called Procom and spoke to this kid named Jeff who was suppose to help me with the problems I was having with my 07 Ranger 700xp. I told him that since I have installed my new Procom PE-E-AP800-A ECU that my rear differential is locked in all the time. He quickly responded and said, thats how they are made. I said well it didn’t say that when I bought it. He asked if I had bought it directly from him. I told him no. He said well if you had I would have told you that over the phone. I said oh really, so what other flaws do I need to know about with this ECU. He said thats it. I said well even on your own website it doesn’t say anything about that being an issue. He said let me check. He looked at it while I was on the phone and said you are right, it doesn’t say anything and he said that he could put that in there. I doubt that he ever will. Why would he say his company’s box is a piece of garbage and not as good as the factory one. I told him that this is false advertisement. I also told him I had a problem with my tachometer and that sometimes it would read zero while the machine is running. He said it was a loose connection and that I should put electric grease on the connection. I told him that I have plugged it in and unplugged it multiple times. I have never had this problem before. Bottom line is this Jeff kid seems like he could care less about anyone or any of the products he sells and shouldn’t work for this company. This is sad since I unfortunately already have one of their ECUs on another vehicle. I will no longer us any of Procom products nor will I ever say anything good about them to any of my friends. I’m going to take the Procom box off of my other vehicle and replace it with something better that I can actually be happy to tell people about.
