It’s Metal
So when I bought this I assumed it was going to be plastic just based on the price. I was super surprised to find the housing and the tube are made of metal. Just note that where the cable rides on the throttle tube are sharp casting marks that will have to be filed down to prevent premature cable wear.

Nothing special or complicated here. 5min job to pull off worn out one and change to new one. It works just fine simple and easy. Cheap alternative.

Great part for the price
I bought this as an alternative to the significantly more expensive throttles available. The quality is obviously not up to par, but for the price it is great. Took a tiny bit of grinding to get the cable to fit properly, nothing significant. Would definitely recommend.

Questions
I just bought 1" size spike grips for my 1" thick bars, they never came with a throttle tube so they are the same width for the openings and one has the spot to hook the throttle cable in, if i bought this will it work with my grips and bars?
Yes, the 1" throttle assembly would be compatible with the 1" bars and grips.

Ive got a Motion Pro Throttle Cable Pull - 05-0069. Is the inlet opening large enough for the L shaped end of the throttle cable? Further, does it include a threaded screw to secure the throttle cable in the assembly?
doesn't fit i bought the same cable for the same project, the screw is to big for the inlet. there is a video out there of re-tapping the screw hole size but that's way out of my realm.
